Published on November 5, 2009 By RadialFX In Object Desktop

Was just checking on the latest WB update via Impulse. Mine come's back and says that my "Registration for this product is not valid". Anyone else had this problem?

I did -- found this:  https://forums.stardock.com/359593

If you're having registration errors like this and you're absolutely sure you have a current Object Desktop Subscription, reset data through Impulse.  This is under Impulse Orb > Preferences > Reset Data.

Oh quit!  I'm not knowledgeable, I'm just good with Google.

I tried that and I still have issues about registration and the newest WB update.

obviously k10w3s post is a better way and hopefully a final solution but if not I've also seen others post that if they were having that issue and used the "Install All Updates" button instead then it didn't happen.

Try closing Impulse and running the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg

Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly.  Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it.  Then relaunch Impulse.  You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will work) and password.

You will also need to go to the blue left side button and check the beta/prerelease button, as the reg_fix erases any prior entry there.

Same thing happened to me yesterday and Shirley and melibee were just super in getting it fixed.

Also...make sure Impulse is closed when you run the reg_fix tool and download the reg_fix with internet explorer. It won't download with any other browser.
